We have just opened the DOCKSIDE DINER and the SPAR BAR at the entrance to Dock Conley. The Spar Bar (so-named because our principal articact is the Pirates of the Carribean which had been temporarily affixed to the Sloop Providence) has a Class B (full) liquor license. Come for lunch at dockside or for drinks, snacks, or ice cream at twilight on Tuesdays through Sundays during the summer months and until the Providence-Newport Ferry ceases its seasonal operation on October 16th. The Fabre Line Club now has a full service bar. In addition to beer and wine, we are now licensed to serve mixed drinks.

Features and Amenities
- A continuous and diverse array of lectures, demonstrations, and presentations by scholars, authors, public figures, lawyers and judges, businessmen, artists, food and drink experts, athletes, and media personalities. No private club now existing in Rhode Island offers anything approaching the intellectual and cultural menu that will be available to Fabre Line Club members.
- Food and drink. The Fabre Line Club now has a full service bar. Click here for menu. In addition to beer and wine, we are now licensed to serve mixed drinks. Light fare such as appetizers and tapas in the early evening and delicious pastry made on the premises for late-night visitors--plus a wide assortment of drinks dispensed by our bartending staff.
- The facility has a state-of-the-art sound system, two pianos, an organ, and a small stage.
- Card and game tables.
- A high-tech wireless computer system with Internet access.
- Two televisions for sports or other viewing.
- Two full-service bars.
- A 30-foot conference table for free use by members who wish to convene the boards or commissions that they chair at the Conley Conference Center.
- Two huge fieldstone working fireplaces and a sixteen-foot-high waterwall for ambience.
- A permanent historical exhibit on the Fabre Line--the club’s inspiration. From 1913-to 1934 this Marseilles-based steamship company transported 84,000 immigrants to Providence’s State Pier No. 1 from Italy, Portugal, France, Cape Verde, Greece, Syria, Lebanon, Armenia, Roumania, Russia, and the Ukraine. We are adjacent to Rhode Island’s Ellis Island!
- A large screen for viewing movies or other audio-visual presentations.
- A high-powered telescope for viewing the Providence skyline, the harbor, or the interstates. (We are located at the new junction of I-95 and I-195.)

Your club membership fee of $295.00 is due by January 15th. If you do not wish to renew, please return your numbered club insignia.
Dining Specials
Because of very low attendance, we have been compelled to discontinue our Friday night entertainment,except for a once-a-month. However,entertainment will be offered at special club functions and holiday parties.
Hours of Admission
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The kitchen will open at 5:00 p.m. and serve until 9:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and until 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday.
Henceforth the club will open at 5:00pm, rather than 4:00pm
Friday Lunch: Noon until 2:30 p.m. Sundays and Mondays: Closed except for special events or showings of major local sporting events on our 100" TV screen.
“Hours of Admission” means that a member may enter the club facility until 10:00 p.m. For those present at that hour, the club will remain open until 11:00 p.m. to accommodate them--and no later on club nights, unless there is entertainment or a special event. If there are no members present at 10:00 p.m., the club will close.
